With Sartre's No Exit as a backdrop, Garrett and Workum use their style of movement and text to illuminate life in Hell. And Hell, as they see it, is a gated condominium complex in Miami Beach circa 1974. In this depiction, passions smolder unfulfilled and dreams get lost in the monotony of daily routine. The cast inhabits a world replete with shuffleboard, group polka, Herb Alpert and lots of terry cloth lounge suits.
